Cochiti Kids offers a unique program that develops children’s musical and social skills through singing, simple circle dancing, and playing musical instruments in a band—with Kris on guitar, fiddle and saxophone. Together, children and carers enjoy one hour of imaginatively structured activities, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to make new friends.

This summer Cochiti Kids is offering fun for the whole family; we will celebrate summer by “packing a picnic for the beach, sailing with pirates, and exploring the jungle”. We learn songs in English, French, and Italian and dance to music from around the world. These two special summer sessions are open to families with children up to 10 years.

Tuesday mornings (10-noon) 5 August and 12 August
United Reformed Church Hall at 111 Mossside Road, Shawlands

Regular Cochiti Kids sessions for under-5’s, parents, grandparents and carers begin again on the 18th and 19th August. The sessions create a relaxed environment for children and adults to learn and have fun together. Even young babies benefit from the live music, gentle movement and visual stimulation of puppets, props and older children. Both children and adults make new friends while developing activities to do at home. Cochiti Kids has been providing music and movement sessions with a difference in Shawlands for over 16 years.

Monday afternoons (1:00-3:00) beginning 18 August
Tuesday mornings (10:00-noon) beginning 19 August
United Reformed Church Hall at 111 Mossside Road, Shawlands
