We’ve had some enquiries about Network Rail and tree cutting, responding to rumours that they will be coming back soon to do more work. Network Rail are required to give residents notice of the work, which should be three weeks before they begin. The Strathbungo Society will be contacting Network Rail to get an idea whether they intend to come back and do some more cutting and whether they are going to deal with the Japanese knotweed that infests the embankments.

Glasgow City Council intends to put details of all planning applications and building warrant applications on the Internet, which you will be able to read on the Council’s website. This will include all the paperwork that is usually found in applications, such as the forms, the plans, supporting documents from the applicant, comments from interested third parties such as neighbours, community councils, amenity societies and anyone else who might have an opinion on the application. The Council is also developing a facility to enable applications to be submitted (and any required fees to be paid) over the Internet rather than by sending in hard copies of everything.
